En la categor\u00eda Sub 12, el primer lugar correspondi\u00f3 a Guillermina Mateos.<br \/>\nEl campe\u00f3n juvenil recibi\u00f3 un trofeo, y los dem\u00e1s jugadores destacados fueron premiados con medallas.<br \/>\n\u201cNo cabe duda de que el Campeonato Juvenil es un evento de suma importancia para los ni\u00f1os, adolescentes y j\u00f3venes del Ajedrez departamental de Durazno, al generar espacios de confraternidad y pensamiento compartido. En la oportunidad se record\u00f3 a la joven Martina Marichal, que fuera alumna de la Escuela Duraznense de Ajedrez, fallecida en 2023.
