G\u00f3mez y Vicente Costa1 como tribuna opositora a la corriente gubernista de Jos\u00e9 Batlle y Ord\u00f3\u00f1ez. Tambi\u00e9n hubo periodistas de otras banderas, como el c\u00edvico Eduardo J. Corso.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hasta la d\u00e9cada de 1980 fue editado por la Sociedad Editora Uruguaya (Seusa) que publicaba tambi\u00e9n el vespertino El Diario.
